The premise

Here’s the bit.

Taking a break outside an operating room, a surgeon cheerfully confides that he has no medical ability. He traces his career to classmates and teachers who helped him through science lessons because they liked him. Years later, an impressive tally of hours in surgery has earned him an offer of promotion, although the statistic conceals a disastrous detail. He collects samples he cannot interpret and relies on sending patients to specialists. The friendly confession ends when he remembers that a family is waiting for news.
