Billy Bleach: Loose Change
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
At the bar, a customer asks the barman for some pound coins in his change so he can use the fruit machine. Billy Bleach, the pub's self-appointed expert, steps in and directs the notes and coins back and forth, borrows money from another drinker and from Rose, an elderly regular at a nearby table, and leaves everyone unsure who is owed what, with one man complaining he is now ten pounds down. When the exasperated barman asks to simply hand over the change himself, Billy takes offence, picks up the coin-filled charity jar and smashes it on the floor.
