Mothers in the Park
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Mrs. Spencer Applegate II arrives at a Central Park bench with a pram, wipes everything in sight free of germs and settles in with a parenting book. Her peace ends when Millie, pushing a shopping cart and bellowing at an unseen brood, flops down beside her, offers her a swig from a flask and asks whether she is even married. While Mrs. Applegate fusses over her one precious baby, Millie keeps shouting orders at her eleven children in the trees and trash cans, swaps boasts about whose child is destined for the White House and introduces herself as the fourth Mrs. Harry Lafferty. When a shabby panhandler pleads for spare change, Mrs. Applegate hands over five dollars just to get rid of him, only for Millie to reveal that the man working the park is her own husband, who is now taking the family out for dinner.

Highly quotable.
Look, lady, this is Central Park. For all I know, you could be a cop in drag.
Well, that's all we wanted. But then the TV set broke down.
So have I. He's my husband.
