The premise

Here’s the bit.

News anchor Tom crosses to Greg Parish in Turkestan for an election result, but the lag makes their conversation painfully awkward. Tom treats the correspondent as if he has fallen asleep, while Greg objects to the interruptions and takes a swipe at the presenter's vanity. They briefly try straightforward questions, then drift into personal jabs about drinking. Tom promises to restore order, only to exploit the delayed replies for increasingly humiliating questions. Later bulletins suggest that neither elapsed time nor an explanation of the technology can make the pair behave professionally.
