Judge Trudy: Halloween Edition
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
In a courtroom decked out with pumpkins and orange streamers, Judge Trudy hears two holiday disputes in front of a gallery of costumed kids. First, a girl dressed as Cleopatra sues the neighbor who dropped an apple into her trick-or-treat bag; Trudy lets the crowd pelt the defendant with trash, waves off the argument that fruit is healthier, and imposes a multimillion-dollar judgment she collects by seizing the woman's dress. Next, a pirate-costumed boy complains that a homeowner yelled at him, and when the man explains the boy egged his house, Trudy reframes the vandalism as a thoughtful omelet delivery, rules for the kid and has the bailiff spin the man over his shoulder before the dancing lobsters close out court.
