Revolutionary War Ghost Learns His Past
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
A homeowner calls in a ghost hunter because her house is haunted, and the spirit that appears turns out to be General Reginald York the Third, a British officer who used the house as his Revolutionary War headquarters. Convinced the ghost needs closure, the pair start telling him what really happened: Britain lost, his loyal troops were American spies, and his beloved wife Abigail quickly remarried and raised six children with her new husband. Each revelation is supposed to free him, but York keeps clinging to one last point of pride until he learns that his own men drowned him and that his grave now lies beneath a big-box store. Finally ready to cross over, he rises toward the afterlife only to get snagged in the ceiling fan.
