The setup
The premise
Talking straight into his phone camera, Limmy explains that the clip he is about to share is not a sketch: he caught it by accident while filming himself rambling around the house, and there are no special effects involved. The footage starts innocently, with him grumbling about the bits of fluff his washing machine leaves on a dark T-shirt, until a pale, shrieking figure in a grey hooded tracksuit appears at the bottom of the staircase, contorts its way up the steps and hauls itself onto the landing. Limmy bolts in terror as the creature lunges at the camera, and the clip cuts back to him calmly confirming that it really happened.

It's not supposed to be funny.

A little extra
From the one-off Limmy's Homemade Show special first broadcast on BBC Two Scotland on 5 April 2018, two years before the show's first series. Limmy made the show on his own at home, writing, directing, filming and editing it himself, and he plays both himself and the monster here.
