The premise

Here’s the bit.

Evan is startled when Patricia, a woman he went on a couple of promising dates with, drifts into his apartment pale-faced and wreathed in fog, explaining that she never texted him back because she died. The spooky act starts to crack when she can't get through a locked door, Evan spots her makeup, and her friend Jerry is caught running the fog machine and the eerie harp sounds. Patricia admits she staged the whole haunting to avoid going on another date, but the sheer effort she put into it convinces them both that she likes him after all, leaving Jerry angling to come along.
