Samuel Banks and Eddie Harrison face off for a tuition scholarship, but the judges’ vocabulary favors slang that Samuel has never studied. Definitions and example sentences only deepen his confusion. After Eddie takes the top prize, a consolation scholarship suddenly helps Samuel find his own new voice.
