Quincy: Cartoon Coroner
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
In this parody of Quincy, M.E., the crusading coroner (Joe Flaherty, doing Jack Klugman) is handed the pancake-flat body of Sylvester the Cat with a report blaming natural causes. Sure there is more to it, he talks his boss into giving him 24 hours, questions Tweety at his cage and the unseen Spike inside his doghouse, then breathlessly acts out every cartoon catastrophe the cat survived, from a falling branch and a stick of dynamite to a bread-slicing conveyor and a steamroller. The boss deflates the theory with one fact about Sylvester's age, a special-delivery bomb sends Quincy up to heaven, and he finally bursts through a Looney Tunes-style closing card refusing to accept that it's all over.

Highly quotable.
When will these ducks ever learn?
I've seen cats go through a lot more than that in movies. And they're never killed.
Sylvester was 97 years old.
