The premise
Here’s the bit.
A new home comes with unsettling letters from a stranger who watches the family through its windows. Everyone recognizes the details of their private routines, but Carol insists the increasingly intimate accounts of her late-night snacks, bathroom struggles and television habits are inventions. As the family considers fleeing, her determination to defend her dignity becomes its own suspicious performance.
