Diego Calls His Mom

Calling his mother from a telephone booth, Diego describes his dishwashing job and the American friend who has taken him under his wing. Outings with Preston and Preston’s girlfriend introduce him to enormous meals, cornfields and peculiar local customs. His warm account of finding a home also catches the contradictions in how his neighbors welcome immigrants.
