The premise

Here’s the bit.

At Republican National Committee headquarters, a pair of strategists welcome Christine O'Donnell and promise to stand behind her campaign despite the media's interest in her old talk-show remarks about witchcraft. Eager to clear the air, she volunteers an unwanted update on her famous abstinence crusade, then answers their careful vetting questions with a string of escalating revelations about her past, each delivered as if it were a point in her favor. The handlers hurry to steer her back toward talking points about the future, and as the meeting wraps up she reveals exactly how she plans to get back to Delaware.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

I, frankly, did not understand what masturbation was.

I've been to Michael Vick's dogfights. They were lame.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The cold open of the Season 36 premiere and Kristen Wiig's first appearance as Christine O'Donnell, the Delaware Republican Senate nominee whose resurfaced admission that she had once dabbled in witchcraft is the setup for the sketch's broomstick ending.

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
