Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
A network promo announces that, with Seinfeld ending, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is taking over Thursday nights at 9 with a whole new look: Buffy has moved to New York, and the apartment crowd she spends time with are all vampires. In Jerry's place, Jerry grumbles about a date whose fangs don't match, George pitches turning into a bat before showering to save water, and Kramer bursts in to borrow a tape measure for converting his apartment into one giant coffin. Ominous narration and dark street cutaways keep insisting this is a tale of terror, until Buffy buzzes up dressed and whining exactly like Elaine, griping about a new vampire temp at work who slurps all day. The spot closes on a Seinfeld-style Buffy logo promising a show about nothing, plus vampires.

Notes from the archive.
The promo parody aired about three weeks after NBC and Jerry Seinfeld announced, on December 25, 1997, that Seinfeld would end production in spring 1998.
