After a stand-up intro in front of the Seinfeld curtain, Jerry and George find themselves lost on a dark, trash-strewn street far from the Upper West Side. George is winded from running for blocks looking for a way out, Elaine turns up with her own neurotic reason for being there, and Jerry keeps narrating everything around him as if it were material for his act, from the local slang to the elaborate handshakes. When two street toughs come down from a stoop to size up the newcomers, Jerry treats them as a fresh topic too, picking apart what they call him and each other, until his patter wears out its welcome and the pair haul him off.
