Randy Quaid wheels a large green suitcase onto the stage on a hand truck and, explaining that the episode's guest director wanted Robert Downey Jr. to express his true self, presents him in a confrontational monologue. Only Downey's head pokes out of the case as he lurches through a string of grand, nonsensical pronouncements, mixing mock-profound declarations with petty grievances and an absurd theory about why whales beach themselves. Just as he seems to be finding his groove, Quaid rolls in a second identical suitcase holding Joan Cusack, who promptly starts her own act beside him. Downey is furious at being upstaged, the two squabble head to head over whose moment it is, and in his indignation he rocks his suitcase until it topples over, leaving him lying sideways on the stage floor while Cusack carries on.
