On New Hampshire University's student TV station, hosts Wolfgang and Pandora open their gentle talk show Safe Space and introduce a panel of millennials, Johari and Carlos. Every attempt at a topic, from the presidential election to news from overseas, collapses because someone declares a word a personal trigger, and the triggers grow ever more far-fetched, from hairlines to washing machines. Their guest, Melissa McCarthy, visiting campus to lecture on comedy, just wants to plug Ghostbusters, but the panel lectures her about oppression, interruptions and even the word hell, while she sinks into a low beanbag chair. Fed up, she storms off, and the hosts wrap up the show by previewing next week's guest, a plug that dissolves into all four of them shouting trigger at one another.
