At a flooring warehouse, Joseph keeps heckling a new colleague as the man gathers the staff for an announcement. The supposed newcomer turns out to be company president Don Mofield, who has spent the week undercover. As Don rewards other employees with a car and college funds, Joseph tries to turn his insults into friendly banter and invents increasingly desperate personal tragedies.
