Pouring One Out
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
A circle of gang members gathers by a graffiti-covered wall to pour out their bagged forties in memory of dead friends, but one of them treats the ritual as a needless loss. He dribbles out a token splash, plugs the bottle with his thumb and offers excuse after excuse while the others grow increasingly offended. Finally pressured into pouring, he explains that he is constitutionally unable to waste anything, then hands his bottle to Jamal to do it for him and lies down in the dirt to catch the stream in his mouth.

It's more of a symbol than a gesture.
I'm just not a waster.
Not to hide the evidence, but because you can recycle those.
