The premise

Here’s the bit.

In a parody of MTV's Making the Band 2, P. Diddy welcomes the members of Da Band into their new house, then refuses to let them record until they walk to Queens to fetch him a sugar cookie. Dylan, also played by Chappelle, keeps insisting he is one of the best rappers alive while the group squabbles. Diddy shuts the studio again and again, sending them out for left-handed golf clubs, a photo with a man holding balloons and finally breast milk from the Bronx, before rewarding them with a session alongside Wyclef Jean. The session falls apart over Dylan's rambling excuses, Diddy scolds the others for how they spend their downtime, and he closes the studio once more as his butler drifts in under an umbrella with a sandwich.

The funny people

Meet the cast. 9

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

First y'all gotta walk to Queens and get me a sugar cookie.

Now if y'all excuse me, I'm going scuba diving with Chris Tucker and Aquaman.

I only drink the finest breast milks.

Behind the scenes

The people who made it.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The real members of Da Band, except Freddy P and Dylan, play themselves parodying their experience on Making the Band 2; Dylan appears only through footage while Chappelle plays him. Chappelle and the real Dylan first met in 2017.

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
