Heckler Stops The Show!

A diner complains to his waiter about a foul smell, confusing diseases with items on the menu. The restaurant routine is interrupted by a man in the studio audience who insists that his material has been stolen. Fry and Laurie abandon their parts and approach the angry spectator, trying to handle his accusations as the performance gives way to an argument about the sketch itself.

Also known as Awful Smell or Copyright I, this is the first of three sketch interruptions by Benjamin Whitrow’s angry audience member in Series 1, Episode 4. The BBC upload uses the title Heckler Stops The Show!.
