Jaq's Thanksgiving Monologue
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
In one of the Thanksgiving episode's interludes, Jaq the UBS Guy strolls out in his brown courier uniform onto a stage dressed with paper turkeys, explaining that the show invited him to share what the holiday means to him. He likes the idea at first, then finds it strange, because surely the day means the same thing to everyone: eating with your family and feeling grateful. Turning the word over, he decides the name must come from thanking someone for a gift, then worries that it has the order backwards, since the giving comes before the thanks, and that a properly ordered name would need a second round of thanks on the end, which makes it far too long. Giving up on the puzzle, he cheerfully settles on the fact that there will be pie and ambles back offstage.
