Break Up

Bobby arrives at the dinner table devastated that Laura has left him. His parents quickly puncture his claim that the separation was mutual, then torment him by repeating her name. He flees into the night and transforms his grief into an extravagant music video, playing guitar amid fog, running through wet streets and pleading from a payphone. Back home, Laura explains that she ended things because her father liked Bobby, but has since learned he was joking. The couple awkwardly reunites. Two meddling editors then arrive, have his parents removed from the room and settle in to watch the reconciliation.
