The Lost Purse
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Claire thinks losing her handbag is a minor inconvenience until Frank comes home preparing to defend his tax deductions. The records he needs were in the missing purse. As Claire struggles to confess, Frank moves from interrogation to panic, then insists they act out her errands. He plays increasingly unhelpful bank, supermarket and bus employees, each reinforcing his obsession with pockets. A grocery clerk finally returns the bag, but Frank’s attempt to offer a reward gives Claire the chance to turn his own advice against him.
