The premise

Here’s the bit.

On a stormy night in the school library, kid detectives Austin and Peter pore over yearbooks and clippings about a deadly 1932 school fire. A grizzled janitor looms out of the shadows promising answers, and every one of his sinister pronouncements arrives with a thunderclap, but each turns out to be about toilet maintenance, a harmless mole removal or a suspicious resemblance he immediately denies. As the pair piece together a lead on a vanished teacher, the janitor keeps trying to join the team, gets sent off to clean up after a sick kid, and is left behind mid-tip about kitty litter.
