The premise

Here’s the bit.

In a 1950s-style diner in a town where singing and dancing have been outlawed, leather-jacketed newcomer Roustabout persuades the local teens that there are no wrong answers when you follow the song inside you. As the group joins in a Footloose-style number, each teen confesses a modest dream, except one, whose secret ambition is to set loose the pack of wolves he has raised in his basement. Roustabout tries ever more desperately to steer the lesson toward being a socially acceptable version of yourself, but each new verse only adds more detail to the wolf plan, from the blood moon to a public pool baited with chicken, until he finally presses the release button and declares himself a lone wolf.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

And I'm finally gonna release the small pack of wolves that I've raised in my basement.

I usually just use dance to teach people that hating dance is wrong. I'm not equipped for this.

This is the real me. Looks like I'm a lone... wolf.
