Dance Floor Killer
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Jack Manville hosts an Investigation Discovery episode of The Killer Files about Marc Allen Henry, the "Dance Floor Killer," who murdered dozens of people between 1982 and 1997 while hiding in plain sight. Grainy archival clips show Henry standing motionless and unsmiling among exuberant dancers on Dance Party USA and Soul Train, a taped threat to police is undercut when someone calls him back out to dance, and MTV even hands him his own dance segment, where he finally blurts out who he is on live television. Manville signs off by noting that after his prison sentence Henry has been cast on Dancing with the Stars.

Highly quotable.
You're watching Investigation Discovery because you like to watch murders, but you don't have the balls to do them yourself.
Did you spot him? If you did, you are ahead of the entire Philadelphia PD.
Marc Allen Henry's one tiny slip-up was saying, "I'm the dance floor killer" on live TV.
A little extra
Notes from the archive.
The fake archival dance clips are set to period hits including The Escape Club's "Wild Wild West," Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock's "It Takes Two," E.U.'s "Da Butt" and Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch's "Good Vibrations." On-screen captions spell the killer's first name Marc; SNL Archives lists him as Mark Allen Henry.
The rabbit hole continues
One more couldn’t hurt.
