The Revenant: Back From the Dead
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Fur trappers camped in the snow are stunned when Hugh Glass, reportedly mauled by a bear 200 miles upriver, turns up at their fire. When he says he did not survive but returned from the dead, they press him on whether he means it literally or figuratively, and each evasive answer frustrates them more. His account of the ordeal grows stranger as it goes, involving a she-bear that sang him a lullaby, a raft trip down the Missouri and a swim back upstream to say goodbye to the bear, until the trappers make one last demand to know whether he died.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
Survive? I didn't survive. I came back from the dead.
Seriously, are you literally undead or figuratively undead?
Do not say both.

A little extra
Notes from the archive.
The sketch parodies the 2015 film The Revenant, which dramatized frontiersman Hugh Glass surviving a bear mauling in 1823. Studio C posted it to YouTube on January 6, 2017, about seven weeks after it aired in Season 7 Episode 8 on BYUtv.
