The premise

Here’s the bit.

KBTV News 5 sends reporter Cindy Franklin to a Chicago hospital where a record-breaking blood drive began for Callie, a little girl who needed a rare blood type. The hero of the story is Chester Willikers, nicknamed Blood Man, who first left a bucket of blood at her door and now turns up at the donation table with bags of every type, plus a few organs nobody asked for. Inspired donors, including a local mob boss and his crew, keep bringing more, and the upbeat report never questions the supply before the anchor moves on to news that 50,000 Chicago residents have gone missing.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

He brings Callie a bucket of blood every day, whether she needs it or not.

It's really not a sacrifice to donate what would just be sitting around my house otherwise.

Up next, 50,000 Chicago residents are missing, but first, have you seen this dancing monkey?
