This is the sixth installment of the Great White North segment on SCTV, featuring the McKenzie Brothers, Bob and Doug. In this sketch, the brothers discuss Canadian topics including back bacon and long underwear while sitting in their studio set with their characteristic hoser mannerisms. The Great White North segments were created as a satirical response to CBC's Canadian content requirements and became one of SCTV's most popular recurring features. These segments were improvised and filmed after hours with just Moranis, Thomas, and a camera operator, giving them an authentic, unpolished quality that resonated with audiences.
