The premise
Here’s the bit.
In his torch-lit crypt, Count Floyd howls his way into a plug for next week's Monster Chiller Horror Theatre feature and promises viewers a real treat, but breaks off to chase away two stagehands who stroll across the set with a ladder. Covering for the interruption, he barks ghoulish orders at them about the victim on the rack, then checks his notes and announces that the coming film is The Odd Couple, which he admits he has not seen. Determined to sell it as horror anyway, he describes Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau as roommates, one tidy and the other a blood-drinking killer, decides that the messy one's filth is the truly frightening part, and signs off with a final howl.

Highly quotable.
One of the scariest movies ever made. I haven't had a chance to see it, but it's The Odd Couple.
He drinks blood and kills people. He's evil and dirty.
A little extra
Notes from the archive.
This promo aired in SCTV's "Man's Ability to Imitate" episode, first broadcast on 14 November 1980. The Odd Couple, the feature Count Floyd is stuck promoting, is Gene Saks's 1968 comedy film of Neil Simon's play, starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau as a neat freak and a slob who share an apartment.
