Monster Pals

After a bully mocks two monster friends at a bar, Jim decides to have surgery that will make him look human. Danny supports the decision but worries that he will no longer recognize his friend. His search takes him through New York, where mistaken identities and uneasy encounters make him feel increasingly alone. A reunion by the waterfront restores their friendship, and Danny eventually tries the surgery himself—with a less expensive choice of face.
