The premise

Here’s the bit.

Ms. Filley hands her class over to Officer Rosen of a school outreach program for a talk on stranger awareness, timed for the Halloween season. When he poses the classic scenario of a man in a van offering candy, the class's self-appointed leader, Shallon, insists the right answer is to get the candy at any cost, and her confident reasoning wins over every classmate. Each correction from Rosen only makes the students more enthusiastic about vans. Hoping to use her influence, he brings Shallon to the front for a role-play, but she mistakes him for her absent father and turns the exercise into a family reckoning, leaving the class cheering her performance. Rosen gives up and leaves, and the returning teacher, with no lesson plan, lets the kids go outside to look for vans.

Whatever it takes to get that candy!

Do you know how much candy you can fit in a van?

Wow! Big day for vans!

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

This was Shallon's first appearance; Nasim Pedrad brought the character back with Kate McKinnon's Ms. Filley for fire-safety and drug-safety presentations later in season 39.

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
