At the Jewel Cases office, a coworker gushes to Brendan about camping out all weekend at Pickathon, where the Flaming Lips are headlining, and urges him and Michelle to go. Back home at the laptop, the couple talk themselves into it and then right back out of it: the tickets are pricey, the forecast is triple digits, the grounds are sandy, and they can already picture the lines, the smelly toilets and the endless small talk, yet they can't stand the thought of everyone else's festival photos flooding their feeds. Just as they give up, an ad pops up aimed squarely at fans over 40. Inventor Ron Lynch pitches You Had To Be There, an absentee concertgoer system that flies a drone through the crowd in your place while you stay seated at home, and that even mails out a certificate signed by the festival proving you attended. Brendan and Michelle agree it beats actually going.
