The premise
Here’s the bit.
Limmy watches an old television performance of Living on the Ceiling and fixates on the way its singer delivers one line. He starts joining in, then reimagines the refrain as a flat-capped singer perched in a tree. The musical obsession follows him back into the bath, where he shakes himself out of it.

Notes from the archive.
The sketch uses Blancmange’s Living on the Ceiling. In a 2020 interview with The Quietus, Neil Arthur responded warmly to Limmy’s version.
