A VERY GOOD USE OF YOUR TIME.

The setup

In a gloriously cheesy 1980s action sequel, a mulleted cop storms a Colombian kingpin's villa to rescue a captive scientist, armed with exactly one move: snapping necks.

The premise

Here’s the bit.

Framed as the opening of the fictional action sequel Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning, complete with chrome title art and credits for made-up stars, the sketch follows double-denim cop Jamison Teague as he infiltrates crime boss Fernando Escubado's estate outside Bogota. Teague dispatches every guard he meets the same way, by breaking their necks, even toppling a whole row of henchmen after hitting one with a frisbee. Escubado, who thought he had already killed Teague, gets the drop on him beside the bound Dr. Carol Roberts and goads him into a fistfight that Teague loses badly, until a chokehold leaves the villain's neck within reach and Teague snaps it too. Reunited with Carol, Teague leans in for a heroic kiss, but his reflex takes over and he accidentally snaps her neck, fumbles to set it right and finally slinks away.

The funny people

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

I thought I killed you the first time, Mr. Teague.

You are a good cop, Mr. Teague, but a lousy fighter.

Snap indeed.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The film-within-the-sketch opening credits bill fictional stars, including "Kris Baucom" as Fernando Escubado; Kris Baucom is the name of the series' real associate producer.
