The premise

Here’s the bit.

As zombies overrun the city, a radio call warns that the defenses have fallen, and a companion named Tommy lies on the floor of a wrecked building crying out that he has been bitten. A survivor in a knit cap insists that his flashlight-carrying partner must do the unthinkable, and after an anguished standoff the partner finally turns a shotgun on Tommy. As the two men grieve, it comes out that the bite came from a raccoon, and a halting exchange about which bites actually turn people reveals that the survivor who demanded the killing had the rules badly confused, leaving his stunned partner to absorb what he has just done.
