The premise

Here’s the bit.

Months after civilization collapsed, a grim survivor picks through the wreckage of an abandoned city, narrating his desperate hope that he is not the last man alive. When he finally spots someone, it is a man in a rainbow clown wig, crown and championship belt who has turned a looted street into a private party, dancing with dressed-up mannequins beside a blaring boombox. The partier spots him and calls out eagerly, but the survivor quietly lowers his rifle sight, ends the music with a single shot and walks back into the wasteland to keep searching.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

There's got to be another human being out there, somewhere.

It's been 173 days since the undoing.

Today, I may be the last man alive.
