Three friends at an outdoor brunch take a group photo and each post it to Instagram. Two of them add mild teasing captions about their friends, but Brenda's version is so savage that they object, and one explains that the insults are meant to be gentle self-deprecation so a flattering photo doesn't look like bragging. Brenda says she understands and keeps rewriting her caption, yet every new attempt piles on more disgusting insults about herself and the others, drifts into imagined violence and roadside corpses, and leaves her friends baffled about what they are supposed to be, until she accuses them of picking on her.
