Portuguese Curse Lady: Steamroller
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
An elderly woman in a black headscarf is walking her small dog past a greengrocer's stall when a man in a flat cap, reading his newspaper as he goes, knocks into her. His quick apology does not save him. Sitting outside the shop while he stands over her, she smilingly describes a quiet, bearded man in a black suit who loves driving his steamroller around town, and predicts that one morning, as the man buys his paper, the driver will roll right over him, leaving him stuck flat to the roller for the whole town to see. She seals the prophecy with a curse and leaves him staring in silence.
