Small Aubergine Wedding
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
A nervous bride-to-be and her father welcome her fiancé and his mother to discuss the wedding. The prospective mother-in-law turns out to be the thrift-obsessed Mrs "I Can Make It At Home": she proposes holding the ceremony at home, offers a bridal sari still owed by a living relative, plans to cater everything with her trademark aubergine and produces a homemade sock-puppet priest. When the appalled father objects, she raises the matter of a dowry, and her grand demand turns out to be just one small aubergine.
