The premise
Here’s the bit.
When her coworkers stop by, Vicky explains why she is skipping lunch and a party. Each apparently ordinary problem conceals another disaster involving alcohol, gambling, drugs or her family. Her colleagues respond with practical offers and the same increasingly inadequate advice. Vicky remains at her desk as the conversation exposes how little control she has over her life.

Highly quotable.
I drank a whole bottle of Jameson's whiskey shot by shot by mistake.
