The premise
Here’s the bit.
Presented as a trailer for a summer romance, the sketch opens on Susan Sarandon kneeling tearfully on a bed, pouring out her love for a partner who never seems to listen. A gilded title card reveals him as Lil Jon, played by Dave Chappelle in dreadlocks and oversized sunglasses. Lying in bed together, she keeps asking him tender and domestic questions, including whether he would like a sandwich, and he grins and replies only with his signature bewildered or ecstatic exclamations, until the trailer closes on its release tagline.
