Dalliard: Models
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
A customer visits a model shop to buy a birthday present for his ten-year-old son. The shopkeeper mistakes his greeting for a long-awaited activation code, summons the unseen Mr Dalliard and starts planning an escape to the Soviet Union. Once the customer redirects him to the purchase, each ordinary detail produces another misunderstanding. Even the kit arrives already built and painted, with the shopkeeper insisting that dismantling it is the real pleasure of model making. A parting greeting sends the conversation back into the same spy fantasy.
