Behind the show.
Tracey Takes On... is an American sketch comedy series starring Tracey Ullman, broadcast on HBO from 1996 to 1999 across four seasons. Each episode takes on a single subject through a mix of longer sketches and short character monologues, with Ullman playing nearly every lead from a rotating company of recurring characters such as makeup artist Ruby Romaine, flight attendant Trevor Ayliss, Long Island housewife Fern Rosenthal and attorney Sydney Kross. Unlike her earlier Fox series, it was shot single-camera on location without a studio audience.
