A VERY GOOD USE OF YOUR TIME.

The premise

Here’s the bit.

Aisha Tyler sets up a round of Hollywood Director: Ryan Stiles and Jeff Davis play a bickering engaged couple who flee a violent storm into a creepy cabin in the woods, only to be hunted by Wayne Brady's chainsaw maniac, while Colin Mochrie plays the director who halts each take. The first attempt dissolves into a frantic chase built around Jeff's character having lost a kidney on the way, so Colin calls for more energy and has the trio replay it as rowdy spring-breakers, then as smooth Las Vegas lounge entertainers, before cutting their borrowed song over music rights. His final note turns the slasher into an opera, with the couple collapsing together and wailing about the missing kidney as the killer closes in, and Tyler likens the result to a horror take on Les Miserables.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Jeff Davis: "I'm scared and I'm wounded. My kidney fell out back there."

Colin Mochrie: "First of all, we can't use that song because of rights."

Jeff Davis: "Darling, put your kidney back inside of me."

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

This Hollywood Director round opened the episode; that night's special guest, Olympic hurdler and bobsledder Lolo Jones, joined later games but not this one.

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
