Ancient Egypt
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
In Egypt in 1909, a stiff-upper-lip professor and his pith-helmeted team pry open a sealed chamber they hail as the source of all ancient learning, and the white explorers coo over a bottled elixir. Richard Pryor's archaeologist, meanwhile, unrolls an old book and reads it aloud: humanity began with Black gods arriving by spacecraft, and Black people went on to invent medicine, music and brain surgery. He whoops with delight, plans to tell everyone back home and insists history will have to be rewritten. The professor responds by announcing that the site holds nothing of interest, calling in the bulldozers to flatten it and suggesting it is time for tea.
