The premise

Here’s the bit.

Jamie arrives to find Nan stranded on a chair, convinced the mouse in her flat mocks her, throws parties on her lino and has been raiding her crackers. She bullies him into the kitchen to sort it out, but when he comes back having killed it she turns on him as a murderer, insisting she only wanted it gently moved on and mourning the little companion who used to watch Countdown with her. Once he has apologised, she gets her own back by shrieking about a rat, sending Jamie leaping onto the sofa while she cackles.
