The premise

Here’s the bit.

An elderly couple settles into their porch rocking chairs, where even a pleasant evening becomes an opportunity for a jab. Gardening, dinner and memories of their marriage expose the gap between their ambitions and their pace. When Molly passes over the newspaper, the presidential contenders become fresh material for the couple’s familiar grievances. Their plans eventually narrow to heading indoors for television, a task that takes some coordination of its own.
