The Return of IT

Reunited at a diner 27 years after they defeated IT, the now-grown friends agree that a clown could never frighten them as adults. Pennywise returns anyway, swapping childhood terrors for grown-up ones: a phone that is not due for an upgrade, a dish that is not gluten-free, a favorite show leaving Netflix, an impromptu speech, a misfiled W-2 and a preschool field-trip volunteer form. The tables turn when Pennywise is rattled by his own paperwork, including medical exam results, and by his clown daughter announcing a prom date with a much older boy.
